Upon attempting to install Windows 7 on my brand new PC, it gave me an error and said I needed the CD/DVD driver. I tried the CD that came with LG's package but for some reason, it didn't work. I tried to go to LG's website to download the driver manually. While drivers are available for other GH22's, including the GH22NP20 (which I tried and also failed), drivers are no longer available for GH22NP21?! The only reason I can guess would be because the 21 is discontinued and "no longer available in stores." Just because an item is discontinued doesn't mean LG can't leave drivers available on its website.
My life is more complicated because of LG's failure and this drive is worthless to me now. I can't use the CD's original drivers probably because it was designed to be used after Windows has already been installed.
