And inside the handle are dual skeletonized stainless-steel liners, which strengthen the knife without adding additional weight. This also creates an anchor for attaching external and internal components. I bought this item to carry while on patrol duty (I'm a police officer). I wanted something that I could draw and deploy quickly on my weak side if a suspect was attempting to take control of my firearm. Because I as able to change the pocket clip to the appropriate side and because of the Wave addition, I am able to do that easily without relying on fine motor skills that my not be there during a fight.
