This review is from: Polar FT2 Heart Rate Monitor (Misc.)
I bought this because a sales person told me they were the best; not sure I agree. It works absolutely fine; no problem with basic operation, but it lacks some features you may want.

PROS:
-Low profile face
-It has a lot of notches in the band to allow a practically perfect fit.
-Seems to be very accurate
-One button operation means you just hit the button and start running; no setup
-Stores the information from your workout: time, avg HR, and max HR.
-The watch beeps when you're out of the "zone" that you predetermine, so you know when to speed up or slow down.
-HeartTouch feature means you can switch view between time and HR by just putting the watch close to the monitor. Pretty cool.

CONS:
-One button operation means that once you've started your workout, you can't make any changes; you can only stop the workout. (ie, you can't turn off the zone beeping!) You can see different displays (workout time, time of day, and heartrate) during your workout
-It only stores your last workout, so if you do have to stop and start your workout again, you lose the first part of your workout.
-The time and HR have to run together, so you can't track your recovery or warm up if you want to have an accurate run time.
-I don't think it times splits; I don't use this, but might be pertinent to another runner.

It's a great monitor for running. If you plan on using the monitor for gym workouts/cross training, you might want something more suited to that. I'm personally not a huge fan of the one-button feature. I don't like it as a casual watch because it lacks seconds on the main time display.

Edit: I originally thought this monitor didn't have a "light up" mode, but apparently it does. I just couldn't find it.
