This review is from: FINIS Swimsense Performance Monitor (Sports)
I bought the Swimsense about 4 months ago and have been very pleased. It took almost no time to set up and has worked well from the start. The technology is amazing. I have a Triathlon Coach who helps me with my swim, but he is only with me a few times a month. This watch is like having my coach watch me with a stopwatch, counting my strokes and giving me instant feedback. My coach initially thought the watch was not necesary, but now he is a believer. He often asks me after a set what my watch says about pace and stroke count. He knows now that the Swimsense is accurate and can be trusted to give he good data.

Today I swam 1,000 meters alone and could tell instantly my pace per 100 meters (even though I was swimming in a 23 meter pool). The watch will automatically convert to pace per 100 meters and give me instant feedback after my set. The conversion is key as I swim in 23 meter, 25 meter and 50 meter pools. Knowing common pace per 100 meters help me compare each swim no mater the pool length.

This watch will instantly tell me how many meters I have swam, pace per 100 meters, lap time, number of laps, meters per stroke, seconds per stroke and the golf/swim score (combination of length time in seconds plus stroke) and my stroke type. I can use the watch to help decrease my stroke count and increase my speed at the same time. I will swim 100 meters trying different kicking methods and get instant feedback on number of strokes and speed after the swim set.

This watch is a little expensive, but so is my training, my bike, my time and my coachs. It is cheap when I compare it to parts for my bike that have saved me only seconds per race. You will get your money's worth in increased swim efficiency with all the data you have instanly at the wall.
