I just received these clips today and was excited enough to attach them to my stroller immediately. The first thing I noticed was that they can be very difficult to open and close--these things are tight! I had to yank pretty hard to unclip one of them and then I had trouble getting the strap in and out. Trying to adjust it on the stroller was a pain. Only one was a real problem, though--the other seemed to be tight, but not as difficult.

I had a PackaBe and a Graco Quattro Tour stroller. The PackaBe fit well and the straps are nice and tight. I stuffed the bag full and there were no issues. I just don't plan to take the clips on and off the stroller--they will stay in place and I will just take the bag on and off.

Overall, a great way to hold the bag sturdy on the stroller, but just don't plan on moving the straps on and off or around much.

I don't know about everyone else, but I find this bag way to small to tote around everything needed for baby. You can pack it for a trip to the mall or grocery store, but for spending the night at grandmas or overnight trips this bag is way to small.

Side bottle pockets barely fit a bottle.

Overall, I like the way the bag looks, but it is unpractical. If I am going to lug around a huge bag I should at least be happy about how it preforms.

I have gotten tons of compliments on the bag, I like it because it does not look like a diaper bag. I love all the pockets it has and the little coin purse is great for money and credit cards and such. The clips are great for attatching to the stroller. The changing pad is nice as well, and is easy to clean, just have to wipe it down. My only comlaint is that I wish it was a little bigger. I looked everywhere online and stores, and found this bag to be the best value for the money.

I agree with some other reviewers who say that there's not enough room in the bag when the pockets are full. You definitely have to choose which pockets you want to use, because you can't use them all - they infringe upon each other's space! It's a nice size for short trips, but definitely too small for full-day outings. By the time I pack a few size 2 diapers, a hard travel wipes case, my Hotsling, nursing cover and some burp cloths, there's not much room for extra toys or a blanket if you want to close the top flap. There's even less room on the inside if you take advantage of the zippered pocket for things like wallet, keys, planner, etc.

I also think the bag could benefit from some metal feet on the bottom so you don't get the bag dirty when you set it down, but overall, I'm please with my purchase.

We have had our DadGear bag almost a year now, and its still the bag we use the most. Having the built in diaper wipes is my favorite feature. I also love all the little compartments that help me keep organized. I can keep enough diapers in here for a day trip with my 1 year old and 2 year old, with extra clothes for each, sippy cups and snack. Plus I have the zipper compartment for soiled clothes so nothing else gets yucky. Also, being able to use the built in straps to attach is to our stroller is great, and even with smaller umbrella strollers, the weight of the bag doesn't pull them down. Don't hesitate to buy this bag. I will never use another.

+++ I like: Very good materials, sturdy, easy to clean. Diaper and wipe accessibility is great. a lot of room, i can fit blankets and extra cloth for both my 2 month old and 5 year old kids, and some books an my make up, etc. as compared to my babybjorn backpack which barely held a change of cloth and diapers, it is amazing and holds the shape so well, i.e. you can stuff it up if you have to. Also, it has 2 side zippered pockets for bottles that are wide enough to fit my Foogo thermoses for kids' hot food, something i wished for in my other bags. i.e. i had to use a main compartment to store it which means your food and cloth together.. they are a little hard to get out , but provided that once used u dont need it anymore, it's ok. Mine is red and i love the bright vibrant color. I was unfortunate to get some thick black tar on it, but it was surprisingly very easy to clean with a bit of oil paint thinner. it looks like new now. I also like the fact that it has a clamshell opening, thus you can get to the bottom without needing to unpack the whole thing. very very useful feature for me.
--- I wish: the mesh pockets inside were stretchable, as they are difficult to use if u drop a small item in, you have to struggle a bit to pull it out. also, the wipe box is smallish (i have to carry an extra pack with me), i have to refill it after ~every 3 changes and it does not fit some of the wider wipes, which is a pain, i have to buy wipes specifically for that container as it does not fit my Kirkland brand wipes. side mesh pockets are nice an stretchy but too small, i cant carry a bottle in it (though may be a small bottle of water is ok), so i use it for pacifiers and small toys.
Overall, however the bag is great and looks good both on girls and boys. it is comfortable to carry and i can see using its use past it's diaper bag present role.
Update: just wanted to comment on the wipe holder. I took it out completely and put in the whole bag of wipes with the plastic flap in the opening. The stretchy band that used to hold the wipe box now holds the pack of wipes instead. The pack I use is soft plastic one so the band compresses it nicely and wipes are really easy to grab! Bottom line, my wipe problem resolved completely. Love the bag even more!! Still using it a lot.

++++ I wanted to mention that i found a remedy for the limited wipe capacity. I removed the wipe box and instead I just plug in a full back of kirkland wipes that has its own nice snap cover and comes in a soft plastic bag- the elastic band that used to hold the wipe box, now holds the pack of wipes directly and it is perfect! elastic applies the pressure to the bag of wipes so they are nicely accessible and pushed forward all the time. sorry if my explanation is confusing. But this is no longer a problem at all. i actually love the wipe feature even more then before! wipes last me several days.

I LOVE this bag. I researched bags for months before having baby #4, and this bag is perfect. I've been using it now daily for 3 months, and it is still in perfect condition. I've read reviews that say it doesn't close, it spills everything, it doesn't fit everything, etc... It has a strap closure with a snap AND a magnet, and once closed I've never had it come open on me. I've never had it topple and spill everything either. It fits everything fine for me, and I have 4 kiddos. I actually like that the bottom is wider than the top, so things I don't use as much can stay tucked down in those bottom sides. I'm in love with this bag. I already had a Petunia Pickle Bottom boxy backpack. After about 6 months of using it, I decided I wanted a diaper bag that looked like a purse.

This bag looks great overall. I have it in black and it looks like any other nice purse. You wouldn't be able to tell that it's a diaper bag. The metal features are really yellow/gold, which I'm not in love with it but they are fine. The pleather has a mottled look to it, but it's barely noticeable in the black version.

I love all of the little pockets to keep everything organized. Everything is easily accessible. One of the problems I had with my PPB backpack is that I'd have to dig and dig to find stuff. I don't have to do that with this bag. I found a great review on Youtube that showcases all of the features, so try searching for the bag on Youtube. If you want to check out the bag but can't find it in stores (I couldn't), the video was very informative. The straps are really comfortable. I also love the little wristlet it comes with. I stick all of my little toiletries in there, like lip balm and hand sanitizer.

The bag truly fits a lot. I use it every day. When I go to work I can fit some basic baby stuff (diapers, wipes, changing pad, wet bag), plus my laptop, a notebook, LARGE wallet, coupon book, and wristlet. I love that it can fit my work laptop.

Update: Changing my review from 5 stars to 4 stars. I've had the bag for a few months now and use it daily. My one gripe is that one of the stroller clips keeps messing up. It keeps flipping out such that it's no longer clip-able. My husband has had to use pliers to fix it. I don't believe that I'm doing anything to mess them up when I unclip them and this has happened twice already.

On the plus side, the little wristlet comes in handy when used separately. I use it as a little clutch when I go out (sans baby) and don't want to lug a purse around. The strap is big enough that I can carry it on my shoulder, so my hands are free.

I really like the way this bag looks so cute, but I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it. It started falling apart and tearing not too long after I had it. It started with the shoulder strap and now a lot of the pocket liners are tearing away from the bag :( it is virtually falling apart and i am not too sure i will even save it for another child i might just chuck it. It does have a lot of pockets on the inside tho but once you fill those up there is no room left in the center on the bag or it all goes to the very bottom and you can't see it.

I was looking for a backpack because my double stroller doesn't allow you to clip on a bag so I could no longer use my beloved Skip Hop Dash. Also, with two kids and cloth diapers I needed more space. This is a great bag! It's cute and I would definitely use it as a purse when I'm done with it as a diaper bag. I was all set to buy the Graco Nautilus carseat, but was still wondering if Britax Frontier 85 might be better. Both carseats were not being sold in any stores for me to go and check them out, so I decided to order both and test them out. I am SO glad I did, because in comparison, the Britax was BY FAR the better seat! And believe me, I REALLY wanted to love the Graco seat.

I would recommend to anyone to pay $100 more for the Britax Frontier 85, cause you get so much more in the long run!

Here's why:

1. The furthest crotch strap slot on the Graco Nautilus measured at 6.5 inches from the back of the seat. On the Britax Frontier 85, the furthest crotch slot is 8.5 inches! My son was almost sitting on the Graco crotch strap in its furthest position and he's only 10 months and SKINNY. With the Britax, he has plenty of room to grow and most likely will not be sitting on the crotch strap!

2. When I put my son in the Britax Frontier 85, his back and head were straight and aligned (no curving of the spine). In the Graco Nautilus, my son was hunchback cause the seat or headrest pushed his head forward and curved his spine. That totally made me question how it would affect his developing posture.

3. The material on the Britax Frontier 85 is sooo soft and smooth, but still SAFE (rock hard on the outside, cushiony on the inside). The material on the Graco Nautilus is awful! The seat is rigid and feels like sand paper/cardboard!

4. The harness strap on the Graco Nautilus is kinda short when pulled to the limit and doesn't look like there's much room to grow in it. Pretty disappointing when they claim a child can be harnessed up to 65 lbs! I highly doubt that! BUT the harness strap on the Britax Frontier 85 is LONG!!!!! And here's the best part -- I'M HIS MOTHER AND I WAS ABLE TO SIT IN THE SEAT AND STRAP MYSELF IN! I am 5'1 and 105 lbs, and I was able to sit comfortably in the Britax and strap myself in harnessed no problem! Most importantly, the crotch strap was still NOT under me. That means my son can grow to my size and still remain harnessed! That is phenomenal!!! Not that he'll need to be harnessed when he's my size, but the option is there! That's how I know I made the right decision.

My son hasn't been in the Britax for a drive yet (cause he's still too little), but I imagine it will be very comfortable (to the point of sleeping in it). And when he sits in it in the house, he doesn't squirm or scream (like he did in the Graco Nautilus). He loves it! Go for the Britax Frontier 85 over the Graco Nautilus... you will thank me! I returned the Graco Nautilus ASAP!

UPDATE: I did not realize that this seat specifies the child must be at least 2 years old. So with MUCH regret, I have to send it back. I still love it very much!!! And because I loved it so much, I decided to go for the Britax Marathon 70 -- also a fantastic car seat for my 10 month old son. I am now a total Britax fan! They truly make the best car seats I've ever seen. They are very expensive IMO, but so worth the money! I will be purchasing the Britax Frontier 85 in the future for sure, unless Britax comes out with an even better model by then! All I know is that every car seat I buy from now on is going to be a Britax! :)

This is the best car seat bag I have owned so far...and I have purchased them all as I constantly travel overseas through the year with my kids and their car seats. So I really put my car seat bags to the test and constantly have to replace them.

I usually purchase the car seat bags with wheels, but decided on this one as it was padded and thought it might last longer. The other car seat bags I have purchased would not even make it one international trip with connecting flights and normally end up ripping.

I fit my son's Britax Frontier Booster car seat (it's huge and very heavy) perfectly in this bag and even had room for coats and things. At the airport I carried the car seat on my back (backpack style), while carrying my infant on my front (in a carrier) and pushing my toddler in a stroller....and I am not a large woman and I did just fine.

After checking the car seat bag and having it gone through many different hands and connecting flights...20 hours later. I was very impressed when I picked it up off the luggage belt. It looked exactly liked it did when I first checked it in...perfect.

My previous experiences of car seat bags after travel have not been good. Normally the bags are scuffed or torn or the wheels have been torn off. While I was worried the straps from the backpack part might be torn or get snagged, they were in perfect condition after traveling.

I highly recommend this car seat bag to anyone who travels with their child's car seat on a regular basis. You will get your money's worth out of it.

I found this car seat while searching for something reasonably priced that would harness past 40 pounds. I bought a different seat first, but while it claimed to harness to 50# and 47", my 37 pound 2 year old was already too tall for it. I returned it and purchased the Nautilus. We are using the harness straps in the second hole down, so he still has a good deal of room to grow in this seat. The straps are extremely easy to adjust and installation was no problem. I use the vehicle seatbelts rather than LATCH. The arm rests are very sturdy. The cup holder is in a good location. I plan to keep him harnessed in this seat for hopefully 2 more years, or until he becomes too tall, and then continue to use this seat as a belt positioning booster. The headrest is very easy to adjust and is able to raise quite high. This seat can accomodate a 20# child, but it's much better to use a convertible seat and keep the child rear facing to 35#.

I researched extensively and tried several car seats before settling on this one. We have used it for almost 11 months now and have never been disappointed. I did not notice a toxic smell. My baby was a little sweaty in it during the summer months, but not more than I would expect from any enclosed seat on a hot day. This seat does not clip onto shopping carts but it is considered unsafe to place your car seat on top of the cart rather than inside it anyway. Installation was really simple and secure with the latch system and the adjustable tilt on the bottom. The only drawback I found is that although the seat holds a child up to 30lb, it also has a length (height) limit of 30 inches. My daughter is a quite chunky 22lb and is already 30 inches tall at 10 1/2 months. So, unless your baby is on the small side, don't expect to use this seat much longer than 10-12 months. I would definitely purchase this seat again. It worked great with her Trevi stroller and the combo came in handy on MANY occasions. I loved that it was roomier than other infant seats and with the newborn pads and head pillow, Leah always looked very comfortable in it.

Once my baby moved out of her infant seat and into a "bigger" seat (Britax Marathon 70), I panicked about how I was going to transport her all by myself thru the airport. At this time, I was still keeping her in the carseat while on the plane. How was I going to lug a huge carseat and a squirming 1 year old through the airport? I bought this and it fit the bill. Is it perfect? No. Did it break on me? Yes. Will I buy another one? The order is already placed.

Pros:
--It serves it's main function--it converts your "big" carseat into a stroller for ease of transporting your child through the airport.

--Allows easy transport of your car seat down to the the plane. If you do not plan on using your carseat ON the plane, just ask the gate agent for a gate-check tag and you can leave the whole thing strapped together at the bottom of the jetway and pick up there when you get off the plane.

--Alleviates the need to pack a stand-alone stroller if your only purpose for needing a stroller is to travel through the airport.

--The handle bar adjusts to 2 different heights to accommodate the height of the parent.

--Easy to store when not in use.

--Once you get it strapped to the carseat properly, it rolls quite smoothly.

--It allows the child to be secured and not running loose through the airport.


Cons:
--I bought a "refurbished" unit and it wasn't packed with 4 necessary screws that secure the handle bar unit to the back plate. It was an easy fix to find screws at Home Depot that fit the holes though. It also came with no instructions and I couldn't find any online either.

--Keeping the car seat attached to the GO GO Kidz won't fit through the x-ray machines at most airports. I've only encountered 1 airport that had tall enough entrances into the machine where the whole thing fit. Just expect that it won't fit! (See my "Tips" section for more info)

--The ratchet part of the GO GO Kidz mysteriously fell off on a trip to the airport. You need that part in order to secure the strap that feeds through your car seat to attach it to the GO GO Kidz. Thankfully, we were able to jimmy rig the GO GO Kidz on the car seat with an extra car seat strap we had.

--Obviously, there's no "kick stand" on this thing. But it may not be a bad idea for them to include a little one on it. It's just a piece of plastic balanced on two slippery wheels and when your car seat is not on it, you have to lay it flat on the ground or the wheels will slide and make it crash to the ground. So, when you have your hands full wrangling a baby and keeping up with your luggage, etc. while in the process of taking it apart or putting it back on your car seat, you can't just prop it up somewhere. I guarantee if you buy this thing, you'll have this experience of it falling over when you try to prop it up against something and you'll know what I'm talking about! ;)

--You can't roll your carseat down the aisle of the plane. This is not a fault of the GO GO Kidz, but of the fact that "big" carseats are too wide for the aisles.

--If you gate check your carseat with it strapped to the GO GO Kidz, 9 times out of 10, when you pick it back up after you de-plane on the jetway, it will have been tossed around and come loose. Not a fault of the product, just something to be aware of.


Tips:
--Practice putting it on your carseat and taking it apart with your child present before you go on your first trip. At first, it can be challenging to strap it to the car seat and take it apart WITH your child sitting strapped into the carseat (so they aren't roaming about while you're trying to do this), but it can be done!
You will get into a flow with some practice.

--Figure, you will have to assemble or de-assemble this thing once you get out of your car at the airport, possibly going through security (if they won't hand-check it), possibly if you are using your car seat on the plane, and once you get into the car at your destination. So PRACTICE doing all this with your child in the seat. It will make your life easier, UNLESS, your child is old enough/willing to stand nicely next to you while you do this without them in the seat.

--Ask the TSAs to hand-check your car seat with the GO GO Kidz attached so you don't have to hassle with taking it apart from the carseat and putting it back together after you go through security. I just stand there at the x-ray machine staring at any TSA in close vicinity until they make eye contact and I ask them to hand-check it. Some TSAs will scoff and take it apart anyway to try and get the carseat and GO GO Kidz through the machine separately and there's not much you can do about that. But it never hurts to ask! And the nicer TSAs will help you put it back together after it goes through the machine. Others could care less about your dilemma if you are traveling alone....but Karma will get them in the end anyway, so don't stress!

--Gate check the car seat/GO GO Kidz at the end of the jetway before you get on the plane. Get a gate check tag from the gate agent before you go down to the plane. You can leave it (whether it's just the GO GO Kidz unit itself if baby will sit in their car seat on the plane, or the two strapped together if baby won't use the car seat on the plane). I wait to be the last off the plane (if I'm not in a rush to make a connecting flight) so that my stuff is already there waiting for me when I de-plane.)

--Use the help of others!! It doesn't matter who these people are! Whether it's TSA agents, other passengers, airline employees, etc. Accept help and ASK for help when you need it! When the baby used to use her carseat on the plane, I learned very quickly to ask the flight attendent who greets you on the plane if I could get help carrying the carseat to my seat. There's no way you can carry a baby and the big carseat at the same time without causing injury to people already seated on the plane!

Instructions:
#1--Sit the base of the carseat onto the two little "pegs" of plastic at the bottom of the GO GO Kidz so the car seat is evenly centered on the pegs, with the back of your car seat butting up against the big plastic square of the GO GO Kidz.

#2--Take the plastic strap on the right side of GO GO Kidz unit and feed it through the back of your carseat (behind the padding), so it's between the padding of the car seat and the plastic back of the car seat.

#3--Feed the plastic strap out the other opening on the opposite side of the carseat and feed the plastic strap into the silver ratchet mechanism that's attached to the left side of the GO GO Kidz unit. NOTE: As far as I can tell, you don't need to latch the GO GO Kidz strap into any of the safety mechanisms (snaps or latches) that you may have behind the padding of your carseat.

#4--Pull up on the silver wratchet several time and it will automatically tighten the strap securly around the car seat. Keep ratcheting until you can ratchet no more! That will give you a secure fit.

#5--When you need to take the thing apart from the carseat, push the black release plastic tab on the wratchet and pull the plastic strap out while keeping the release depressed.

I just wanted to say that we bought this car seat thinking the 3 in 1 aspect would save us having to buy another one later on. We find we have the same problem with the seat not being able to recline enough. We own a Hyundai Elantra, and there just isn't enough room in the middle for the car seat to fully recline. Unless we bring the seats forward to the point where this isn't safe, either. I hope Safety 1 can work on this for future car seat models.

We got this carseat last week for our 3 year old daughter. She was forward facing in her other carseat, and Alpha Omega Elite, and I hated it every time I put her in it. She frequently falls asleep in the car and her head would flop so badly that I worried her neck would snap sometimes. We tried neck pillows, etc. Nothing worked. So we saw this seat and she sat in it on the display, along with about 5 others. She fit so nicely and loved it! So we got it. I am so very happy with it. She has fallen asleep in it a few times now, and her head stays put and she looks very comfy. She actualy talks about her new seat and jumps around with excitement when its time to get in it.
The seat does seem really bulky, and my husband wasn't sure it would fit in my Mazda 3. I have to say, it's smaller than it seems. It fits very well and was super easy to install. It took him about ten minutes and it doesn't budge. I highly recommend this one!

The Frontier 85 is a good child safety seat, but the side impact cusion technology (SICT) turned out to be a mild disappointment. Upon examining it, my gut feeling is that it would help to protect an older child sitting NEXT TO the seat, but I just can't see it doing anything more for the child actually sitting in the seat itself. Upon examining it, I just can't see how it would do anything significant to prevent the vehicle from crumpling into the child. So, if you will have an older shild sitting next to this seat, either in a booster seat or in no car seat at all, then this might be good for you. However, if like me, you will have three child safety seats squeezed into your back seat, then the side impact cusion technology probably won't do anything significant to protect your children, but it sure will make it more difficult to squeeze three child seats into your back seat.
About a year and a half ago, before SICT was available, I purchased two Britax Frontier 85 car seats and found them to be very good. My wife especially liked the fact that it was easier to buckle the kids into the Frontier 85's than into the the Britax Boulevards that we have in our other car. When I read about the new side impact cusion technology, I decided to wait on changing the infant seat for a forward facing seat until I could get the new Frontier 85 SICT. Having once been in a nasty side impact crash myself, I thought I would wait until the SICT version was available and pay the extra money for side impact cushion technology. I'm glad that I only purchased one at first rather than replacing my other two regular Frontier 85's at the same time.
The bottom line is that the side impact cusion technology, (SICT) will be good for some people but the regular version of the Frontier 85 is better for others.

Bottom line: the Evenflo Maestro is a great seat for the money. The top harness slots are about the same height as the Graco Nautilus so it's great for tall kiddos who aren't developmentally ready for a booster.

Our daughter is almost four and primarily sits in a SK Radian but we were looking for a second seat for travel and "grandma's car." We love the Radian but it is HEAVY and can be tricky to install in some vehicles. The Maestro is light, relatively narrow and fits the bill just fine.

It was a snap to install in our van (2002 Odyssey.) The latch straps are nice and big, there is a slight natural recline when installed in our second row, the straps do not seem like they will get twisty and our daughter seems very comfortable in the seat. Her shoulders are even with the third slot down from the top so she has lots of room.

We've run in to only one issue - the tether strap is very short. Unfortunately the issue is common to most Evenflo seats and builds an extra cost into the seat for many people. If you need more than 35" of tether for your vehicle, be aware that the strap will not reach the tether anchor. Evenflo is happy, however, to ship you a tether extender for approximately $12.

As a car seat technician, it irritates me to no end that some people must purchase an "accessory" to be able to use the seat properly. (Not tethering is NOT an option.) Graco, Britax, Combi, Dorel and every other brand of car seat I've ever installed has a significantly longer tether than this.

That said, the problem is fixable and I'm still happy with the seat. I can't see paying more for a Nautilus or Frontier for our purposes. The Maestro is lighter, narrower and will easily fit my daughter until long after she is ready for a booster.
