its a great tub. I replaced a my old fiberglass tub/shower kit with this model. I love it. no complaints. very deep, modern and easy to clean. floor has traction pad, subtle, in the bottom so no need for a pad or mat. i would recommend it to others. definitely agree that it is not plastic or acrylic but is indeed americast. too heavy to move solo, about 240lb, but holds well amazingly well.
