I have been using a Sonicare Elite 7500 for 2 years and have had the Oral-B 8850 for about 4 months. Here's a point-by-point comparison.

Cleaning: Too close to call. Both do an excellent job. If you still use a manual brush, you'll be amazed when you first try one of these. Completely different level of clean. The Oral-B has a slight advantage, because the head is a bit wider, and you can cover each tooth without moving it around.

Durability: Strong edge to Oral-B. The Sonicare has battery problems (ours died after 18 months). Sonicare replaced it, but only because we were within the 2-year warranty.

Maintenance: Strong edge to Oral-B. The Sonicare needs to be cleaned regularly, because gunk builds up where the head attaches to the body. Cleaning is not easy, because the gunk gets in hard-to-reach places, and you need a cue-tip to get it out. The Oral-B just requires a quick rinse.

Multi-person use: Edge to Oral-B. If two or more people use the brush, then you will need to switch out the heads. This is easy to do for the Oral-B, as the heads slide on and off with little effort. The Sonicare heads need to be screwed on, which takes a little more time. Also, the Oral-B heads come with nice color-coded rings so you can keep them straight.

Price: The Oral-B is cheaper.

Replacement heads: Oral-B replacement heads are cheaper.

Accessories: The Sonicare doesn’t come with any accessories. The Oral-B comes with a bunch of accessories (flosser, tongue cleaner), but they are useless.

Other stuff. The Oral-B is noisier (sounds like a Dentist’s cleaner) but not obnoxiously so. The “charging” light is annoyingly bright on the Oral-B (so much so that you’ll need to close the door from the bedroom to bathroom if you want to sleep).

Bottom line: go with the Oral-B.

Just like a smile, no two mouths are the same. That’s why the Sonicare Elite 9500 is designed with the new Custom Care System, offering two speeds and two brush head sizes for more individualized brushing. The Elite 9500 has patented sonic technology, high-speed bristle motion, and dynamic fluid cleaning action that gently and effectively reaches deep between teeth and below the gumline.
The Elite 9500 is built for your individual oral care needs. 31,000 bristle sweeps per minute removes harmful plaque. Sonicare is the only Sonic toothbrush with a slim angled neck, contoured-fit bristles and ultra high speed bristle speed for greater plaque removal in hard to reach areas. Plus, Sonicare is the #1 personally used and recommended brand by U. S. dental professionals.
Building better health into every Sonicare. The mouth is the gateway to your body. It is increasingly being identified as a vulnerable entry point for bacteria associated with serious medical conditions. Evidence also continues to emerge that shows a link between gum disease and a variety of systemic conditions, including diabetes, heart attack and stroke, and the occurrence of pre-term low birth weight babies. So it’s essential that when you think of total body health you include your mouth by focusing on gum disease prevention.
Philips Oral Healthcare is dedicated to developing innovations that result in superior oral health and, therefore, can help improve and maintain overall health.
About Sonicare’s Patented Technology and Custom Care System Sonicare’s unique patented combination of high speed bristle motion with extra wide sweeping motion creates effective, yet gentle dynamic fluid cleaning action. So you get superior plaque removal, especially in hard-to-reach areas, deep between teeth and below the gumline. In fact, this technology generates 31,000 bristle sweeps per minute, and laboratory studies show that it removes harmful plaque bacteria up to four millimeters beyond the bristle tips -- even below the gum-line. With the Sonicare 9500 in hand, you can count on naturally whiter teeth and healthier gums.
Sonicare -- Use it for your mouth, use it for your body Diabetes: Studies have shown that people with diabetes are more susceptible to oral infections and gum disease than those without diabetes. The Sonicare toothbrush is proven to reduce gingivitis, contributing to better oral health and, therefore, better overall health.
Cardiovascular: People with severe gum disease may have up to double the risk of stroke or heart attack. And Sonicare is clinically proven to reduce plaque, the root cause of gum disease, making Sonicare an important part of a healthy lifestyle.
Pre-term low birth weight: When severe gum disease is present, some women are up to seven times more likely to deliver a pre-term low birth weight baby. And Sonicare toothbrushes are clinically proven to reduce gingivitis, so they can significantly improve oral health for better overall health.
Sonicare Elite 9500 Features   2 Contoured Brush heads Standard size is ideal for complete cleaning Compact provides procession care 2 Speeds Max for a thorough everyday clean Gentle for sensitive areas and gum massage Programmable Quadpacer 30-second interval timer encourages thorough brushing of each quadrant of your mouth. This review is from: Philips Sonicare Elite e9500 Custom Care Power Toothbrush (Health and Beauty)
Here's a tip. Grab the same model from your local warehouse shopping club for the deluxe package and you will have an extra handle, an extra brush head and a compact plastic travel case at less than the price this single-brush head model is being offered.

I admit, I'm late in the game in switching to this particular model as there is now the more expensive FlexCare line with a more compact brush head and supposedly more powerful sonic brushing action. However, the price of the Sonicare is very, very attractive these days especially since they introduced the latest FlexCare line which is supposed to be more elite than this Elite model.

I've been an Oral-B Braun power toothbrush user for years constantly upgrading every two years for their latest toothbrush. I've generally been happy and I really can't complain much as any electric toothbrush is definitely a step up from manual.

So after two solid years of using the Oral-B Triumph model with exclusive use of their FlossAction brush head, I've decided to finally give in to the Philips Sonicare Elite side. Why did I make the switch?

I was drawn into the Sonicare line because I've been using a similar sonic product called Clarisonic for almost a year already. I was totally impressed with the effective cleaning ability and the smoothness it created on my skin. Furthermore, I was especially impressed with the 2-week battery life which gave a constant output from full charge to the end.

COMPARED TO ORAL-B:

My problem with Oral-B Triumph and their older line of power toothbrush is that at full charge the brush action is at it's best power. After a few days, you can tell how much the battery is getting drained and how weak the spinning action is becoming. The only solution of course is to keep it charged. But this is not always possible because I bring it with me when I travel for a few days and it would be cumbersome to bring even the charger when I want to save on space. Also even at home you would want to make full use of the fact that it's a rechargeable toothbrush that will help you charge once and save on electricity by constantly charging it after every use. Finally, it's still best to condition the battery by fully charging and discharging - which the manual suggests users do every once in awhile.

I don't know how Oral-B manages the power in the toothbrush, but from my experience it's best to charge it after 3-4 days of use. Otherwise, you won't get the same brushing speed and effectiveness.

I saw my dentist recently and he did commend how clean my teeth were. He even thanked me for making his job easier. HOWEVER, the problem he had was that he discovered two cavities. Two! After years of brushing with a power toothbrush, I finally get two cavities. The problem has got to do more with me and my eating habits. I became more daring and started to eat sticky sweets and neglected brushing until late in the day. I also decided on my own that the FlossAction brush head of Oral-B helped me actually floss less than twice every day. So here I am with amalgam in my tooth and a good wake up call. Still, even with it being my fault I still doubt the effectiveness of the FlossAction now and the ability to actually get in between the teeth in a powerful manner versus just grabbing a floss. My point is we need to floss anyway as part of the brushing habit, so why will I need to spend extra on the ubber expensive FlossAction brush head, when I need to spend on purchasing a good floss anyway.

ENTER SONICARE...

After the dental check up and cavity work, I decided to also invest in Sonicare this time. After 24 hours of initial charge and first month of use, I must say it's a different cleaning experience that feels more gentle to my teeth and gums.

My first few uses made me and my wife wonder if there was any effectiveness to the brushing action. The feeling left me wanting more power. Then I remembered that toothbrush is meant to increase in power gradually within the first 14 uses in order to sit in and get used to the sonic brushing experience.

The sonic brushing did get stronger and stronger as expected. At full power it feels like it's blasting away dirt particles that may have gotten stuck on the tooth. Unlike the Oral-B Triumph brush, there is the tingling sensation especially when the plastic part of the brush head comes into contact with your teeth.

The power is more constant from full charge up to the time it needs charging. You won't notice any waning brushing power unlike with Oral-B Triumph (which really is disappointing to feel as it loses it's charge). You can get two full weeks of use in between charging and this may help condition the battery better as well as save electricity by not having to leave the cord constantly plugged. (Although as a convenience and with two included handles, I leave one at the base full charged and alternate them every week.)

THE SONICARE ELITE 9000 HANDLE...

It honestly could be more ergonomic and better shaped. However, it's practically light versus Oral-B Triumph that a kid would be more comfortable in using the Sonicare handle than any other.

The controls are simple and the light indicator couldn't be more effective. You have two buttons. One power the toothbrush and the other to switch between a more gentle cycle. If you want to program the toothbrush, you simply use those two buttons and watch the led indicator light to tell you what mode you are at based on it's position. Furthermore, this same led light will tell you the charge indicator status as well as how much power is left.

The good thing about this light is that it will come on only when it needs to thus helping lengthen in-between charges. On the other hand Oral-B Triumph has this fun, but ridiculous display which is constantly on even if it isn't docked at the base. 24/7 the Triumph handle will display the battery status in monocrhome-hard-to-see graphic form versus a simple bright green led light which comes on to alert you for a few seconds only after every use. Simple and ingenius. No need for a constant battery drain which could be used more toward powering the toothbrush head than the display.

THE ELITE BRUSH HEAD...

I must admit it was a little turn off at first to feel it so flimsy on my teeth. I was used to the Oral-B FlossAction head which was more pronounced and bulky. However after the Sonicare started to gain full power, I understood why it was designed as such.

I appreciate how gentle yet powerful it can act. My teeth feel squeaky clean that I'm only hoping this is what the dentist will also see on my next visit.

Philips used to advertise to change brush heads every 6 months. I was impressed they could design one to last twice as long as regular competitor heads. And then suddenly with the release of their FlexCare line all packaging including the Elite replacement heads state to replace every 3 months. So I don't know if this was a marketing gimmick, the realization that they need to make more money in half the time, or that people were complaining of bacteria build-up and foul odor from collecting water.

HERE'S THE PROBLEM...(especially why I didn't give it 5 stars)

Unlike Oral-B's design, Philips Sonicare design is poor in terms of maintenance. Water and toothpaste can and will enter the crevices of the head and handle. The brush and handle don't screw in together to form a water proof experience. (Versus Oral-B's simple design of having a metal rod stick out from the body and have the brush head insert into that rotating rod to create the brushing action.)

What happens is that if you don't disassemble one from the other, you get build-up of old and stale water, saliva and toothpaste. Yes, it's really that gross. So the solution is to disassemble the head from the body periodically. My personal solution is to just keep the head and body disassembled and cleaned after every brushing. It may appear more cumbersome, but it's easier to let water run thru both each and every time than to wait for residue to build up and for foul odor to occur.

Of course the solution was solved with the introduction of their latest FlexCare line which imitates the construction of Oral-B, but still maintaining the sonic ability. This is great news actually since less maintenance is required. However, with it's current price point I would rather not be the first to invest this time and just wait until even more kinks are sorted out and a better offer is brought to the market. And as we've seen they always lower the price, introduce an upgraded line and with more accessories. So until then I will enjoy my Sonicare purchase at an price unimaginable a year ago.

INCLUDED ACCESSORIES...

2 brush handles.

3 brush heads - 2 full size heads and 1 compact.

1 charging base to share among the two provided handles.

1 small plastic container to hold two brush heads in case you have more than two people sharing the handles. More importantly, that's where I place the brush head everyday to keep them separate from the handle while I air dry both after every brushing.

1 compact travel case which is okay for only 1 person since it holds 1 handle and only 1 brush head. They should be able to provide a travel case that case house 1 handle and 2 brush heads. Oral-B was smart enough to supply me with this kind of case for my Triumph purchase. This way me and my wife are able to bring only one travel case. The Sonicare case doesn't allow for another head which makes me end up purchasing yet another compact travel case, thus making the experience not compact anymore.

CONCLUSION...

So you can see why this toothbrush as a whole with accessories and design flaw of not being waterproof does not earn perfect 5 stars.

However, after experiencing the sonic brushing method. I don't think I will end up coming back to Oral-B's products with it's inefficient power-hungry display and short battery life.

I can only wait a year later until the FlexCare lowers in price and then I will upgrade within the Philips line.

All in all a very worthy and wise purchase especially if you are able to grab one from warehouse clubs (or hopefully here if they decide to match or lower the price even further).

I had an old Sonicare for almost 5 years and the battery ... out on me, so I decided to get a new one. I didn't know about the Elite until I went to buy it. I've had it for almost a week and it is defintely better than my old one. My old Sonicare did not have the Quad Pacer feature which this does and I like it a lot. I also really like the new thin, angled brush head and I believe the claims that the Elite is 20% more effective than older models. My teeth almost feel like I just had them polished after brushing. If you are looking to replace your old one or want to get an powered toothbrush I would recommend.

This review is from: Philips Sonicare Advance 4100 Sonic Power Toothbrush (Health and Beauty)
I had one of the older Sonicare Advance models before the Elite came out. Great toothbrush. In fact I never would have thought of upgrading except for the fact that I was doing lots of traveling and the older models didn't keep their charge very long. I am really glad I made the change. While even the Sonicare Advance toothbrushes apparently have better batteries now, I have taken my Elite for trips in excess of two weeks, using it twice most days. There are, however, lots of other features which make the Elite a better brush. Most importantly is the size and shape of the head. The original Sonicare and the current Advance models have a large head which extends straight from the main body of the toothbrush. The Elite series has a smaller head and comes off of the body of the brush at a more ergonomically functional angle. Smaller is better in terms of doing a good job of cleaning. The first time I used my old Sonicare I was amazed. I had a similar reaction when I upgraded to the Elite. It does a much better job at getting into small spaces and cleaning back teeth.

Another nice feature is that it is less messy than my older model. If you don't clean the underside of the head on older models, they get pretty gross very quickly. While the Elite also requires cleaning, it seems that the seal that separates the base of the head from the arm holding the bristles seals much better. Definitely a cleaner medicine cabinet.

One hundred dollars seems like a lot for a toothbrush. However, given how this brush really saves teeth and preserves their attractiveness, it is really a bargain. If you don't have a Sonicare, order one today. If you can afford a few more dollars, definitely consider upgrading to the Elite model. It is a wonderful product!

This review is from: InStep Grand Safari Swivel Wheel Jogger (Sports)
The price for this stroller is at the lower end, so I expected to have some inconveniences. But there are a couple that need to be addressed by the company. Like another reviewer, I tried to inflate the tires the normal way, and ended up walking half a mile to a gas station, spending 75 cents to use the air hose, and there was no way to access the valve for the front tire. Walked another half a mile to a hardware store to hopefully borrow a smaller hand or foot pump, but none would fit within the open area of the front wheel to engage the valve. I was finally able to inflate the two back tires, and just left the front one flat. I've been looking all over the internet for an adapter or a small pump that might have a short enough valve that would connect to the front tire valve. But so far, to no avail. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Meanwhile, InStep should at least get a clue and ship the front tire already inflated or ship it with a valve adapter.

This review is from: Graco Trekko Stroller, Metropolis (Baby Product)
After my call with a supervisor from Graco I came to find out, the video that Amazon has up is NOT the same stroller that's being sold in the US, it's the european model. The Trekko came out in Europe first and there are some key features they did not want to included on the US model for whatever reasons.
This stroller doesn't even have shocks or suspensions so I emailed & asked how can this be a TRUE all terrain stroller. My reply was "No, The wheels do not have shock absorbers. Please lock wheels". But even when they were lock you could still feel them wobble.

-CONS-
For NOT being a jogging stroller (in manuel-reads-not to be used for jogging) it's VERY bulky.
The material doesn't seem like the breathable kind , which means your child will be uncomfortable.
Yes, it's heavy but not much of a difference compare to Jeep's line of strollers.
The mechanism to drop the basket up & down is very poorly made.
Front wheel wobbles even when in lock mode, it's fine when your walking at a slow pace but brisk walking is a no go.
There is this huge gap between the push handle and stroller itself.
Weak amount of cushion and seatback is hard...................
On the bumper bar there is the metal piece with a bolt/screw that just sticks out. NOT safe, if you go over a bump your child could hit it or if they like to rest thier feet on the bar they will surely scrap the skin off. On the video (Europe model) it shows this padded flap piece to cover it up. Graco claims its expose for the carseat, well if you order the travel system version I can see how ideal that will be but if your child will not be in a carseat I don't see how that can be safe. Yes some can throw tape over it or what not but the point is, you shouldn't have to.
AND you all already know the con about no kids tray or cup holder.

-PROS-
Sleek design
The seat sits upright and is higher up then most strollers which is one of the reasons I wanted it. Going over gravel or a walk after the rain meant debris wouldn't be spit up from the wheels into my child's face.
Lever for the seat recline is nice-no draw strings unlike others
I like that the canopy has a huge mesh peek a boo window just right, so when you have the shade all the way down, your child can still see the world without feeling like he/she is in the dark.

-Overall-
I wish the cons didn't outweight the pros and that the stroller would of had an adjustable footrest along with at least a snack tray for the little ones.
If the stroller was maybe under $90 I would of did some tweaking to it and kept it.

Baby Trend Single Snap N' Go Stroller

It's a convenient alternative to a conventional carriage or stroller because it fits most major brand car seats. This folds compactly for storage or travel with one hand fold and features an extra large storage basket.
This review is from: Baby Trend Single Snap N' Go Stroller (Baby Product)
I have been using this for my daughter with her Chicco Keyfit 30 infant car seat since she was a newborn. She is now almost 5 months old and 18 lbs, and we use it every time we go out of the house.

PROS:
Lightweight
Easy to open/close
Fits into a small trunk or back seat easily
Goes down narrow store aisles
Two cup holders are a nice bonus
Handle is high, which is nice for tall people like myself.

CONS:
Can only be used with an infant seat, so once infant is over 30lbs, it's not useable.
Under-stroller basket is pretty small, and VERY awkward to get stuff out of without lifting the car seat up.
Straps to help secure the infant seat get easily caught under the wheels or in the hinges between uses.

Finally a stroller that is durable and, yes, it really will comfortably fit your little one up to 50 pounds. The ignite features today's popular euro styled frame combined with our contemporary fashions deliver a stroller that you will love to use. The wider seat base means a more comfortable ride for your child, which will keep them in their seat longer. The larger wheels (6" diameter), all eight of them, allows your stroller to glide over any surface. Worried about keeping your little one in their seat? The addition of the five point harness means your little one is securely seated. And for you, the taller handles mean no more hitting the back side of the stroller or the wheels while you go for that afternoon walk or trip to the mall. Sunny day no worries, the fully adjustable and removable (for those cloudy days) canopy means you're little one will always ride in the comfort of shade. And if your little one starts to nod off during your long afternoon walk, simply use the recline feature and they can comfortably snooze while you continue on your way. The large upper storage console for you means your water bottle; your keys, your wallet and more are easy to access as you are out and about. And the underneath storage provides plenty of room for your diaper bag and any other extras you bring or buy along the way. And when you stop along the way, the rear wheel brakes (we also added front wheel swivel locks) will allow the stroller to stay in place. The ignite stroller features an easy one hand fold and weighs only 14 pounds, so it is easy to toss in your trunk in between trips.
This review is from: The First Years Ignite Stroller (Baby Product)
I have a 2 year old boy and a 4 year old girl. I've gone through 5 other strollers, including a Peg and a Combi. I chose to purchase this one to have a convenient, truly lightweight stroller with a 5 point harness. If it's not 5 point, it simply doesn't do its job in restraining my busy children.

I just received this stroller after ordering twice and having it delayed in shipment. I was a little concerned to order as it isn't available in stores and there are no reviews since it is brand new. But I am pleasantly surprised. First off the only assembly is snapping on the 4 wheels and snapping the sun shade into place which takes all of 5 minutes.

It is tall enough for me to comfortably push around without having to awkwardly bend forward to avoid kicking the wheels, and no stooping as the handles fit me well (I'm 5'7"). Yay!! The wheels are foam with a little give, but not as cushy as air. I doubt this stroller will work for off road, but will do fine on pavement.

I took my 4 year old for a test stroll and she is 39 pounds and 43 inches tall. She comfortably fit in it with the harness on the middle position so there is some room for her to grow. It rolls relatively smoothly though the recline doesn't recline that far back; I'm okay with that since my kids never sleep on the go. It has a parent console that includes a zippered pouch and cup holder. I stuck a water bottle in it just fine, but it may not be suitable for a Big Gulp. There are also 2 small mesh pouches on either side of the seat, presumably for things like pacis and sippy cups. There is also a small storage space under the seat, and I think it can fit a SMALL diaper bag or a few coats and books.

I chose this stroller over the First Years Jet stroller for $40 simply because I could get it in stock faster. I also like the khaki color because we live in San Antonio where it is ridiculously hot and sunny. The sun canopy is adequate though not giant.

The stroller appears well built. Even if it falls apart in one year, I'd just buy another since it's so stinkin' cheap. Thanks First Years for finally creating an inexpensive but comfortable umbrella stroller. I love it!

Customizable from birth and beyond, the City Mini is the ideal lightweight stroller that maintains all the safety standards and style you’d expect from Baby Jogger.
This review is from: Baby Jogger 2011 City Mini Single Stroller, Stone/Black (Baby Product)
I have three kids under 4, and have been through a variety of strollers. This one is a good over-all stroller. Hands down, it is the easiest folding stroller I have ever seen. It's great for short shopping trips when I'm out with three kids all by myself because I canfold this stroller AND put in my car with one hand while I hold the baby in the other arm. It has some great features, and some features I thought could be improved.

Pros:
Easiest fold ever
Lightweight for the size
Excellent sun shade
Great recline
Straps are easy to adjust
Nice size--more substantial than an umbrella stroller, but smaller than a standard stroller
Handlebar is a nice height (I'm 5'!0" and it's very comfortable)

Cons:
Steering and ride are okay. For a standard, small-wheeled stroller, it's fine. Great for the mall, less than stellar at the park or on long walks or anywhere there might be something other than completely smooth pavement.
You can't hang stuff off the handlebars without buying those special hooks (not a huge deal, but it's been an annoyance a few times)
The storage underneath is a little difficult to get to. Not as bad as other strollers, but could be easier.

Like a lot of families with more than one child, I've owned quite a few strollers, and this is one of my favorites. It's the one that I keep in my car all the time for general errand running and shopping. It's not the stroller I take on nature walks or trips to the nature reserve, but over all it's a great general-use stroller.

This review is from: Contours Options Tandem II Stroller, Tangerine (Baby Product)
I read all the reviews and I'm wondering how no one has mentioned that the seats aren't high enough. I bought this stroller for my two and a half old and four month old. And when I laid my older son back to fall asleep on our walk home I saw that his head hangs over the top of the seat! How is a child supposed to sleep with a bar in the back of his head! And my son is not tall at all for his age. Why have such a high canopy, but a low seat back! Gonna try to return it. I really liked all the other features but i have to say that my kid not being able to sleep comfortably is a deal breaker.

I have 2 children and have owned 8 different strollers with the 2 of them. My son is 3 months old and I was on the lookout for a stroller that would be comfortable and convenient for him now, but would also be able to transition to him growing with ease. I tried EVERY stroller in 3 different stores and had narrowed it down to 2. Neither one had exactly what I wanted. When I found this stroller it seemed it might have everything I wanted. Well it does and more. I love everything about it. You can fold it with one hand and it clips itself when you fold it. You can fold it with the seat on as well as with the infant car seat attachment on. The basket is huge and holds everything, the wheels are not too wide to fit anywhere. It is up high so that I can feed baby while strolling. The front wheels swivel but they can be locked to rock baby back and forth. The parent organizer is awesome and holds everything and it has a really handy zipper pouch to secure things. It doesn't take up much room in the car at all. The only cons I can name are the shade is not very large so I bought a Ray shade to extend it for $14 and it doesn't seem to have an adjustable handle as stated, but it is up so high that it is already comfortable for my 6' 4" husband to push. I will recommend this stroller to everyone - it is awesome!!!!!!

This review is from: BOB Revolution SE Single Stroller, Black (Baby Product)
I have been the proud owner of both a single and double bob revolution stroller for four years now. When the new model was released, I rushed to the nearest REI (that day) and purchased the double just to try it out. It's been over a month now and I have used the new model daily and frankly, the older model is better for a few reasons.

Let me start out by pointing out the positive aspects of the newest model:
The under storage basket is a bit larger and easier to access.
The window in the hood is larger (that said it doesn't really give you much more of a view of your child(ren)).
I like the springy action in the hood, allowing it to have several different positions and also making it easier to close back up (but not easier to open than the previous model)
I like that the handle bar is just a bit skinnier than the older one. It seems like the foam is tougher too, more rip-resistant.
I like that the "bump" above the swivel wheel is hard plastic instead of cloth. One less part to get dirty or tear.
I like the fabric better. Seems more resistant to rips and fading and also seems easier to clean.

Now for the negative:
I hate the new seat belts. They suck. I liked the rings that were easy to pull to tighten, now it's a bit more complicated, slightly irritating. I also hate that the crotch strap is so short that I have to yank and pull just to fasten the harness on my ONE YEAR OLD. BOB claims that they made it longer but it definitely isn't. It's much easier to fasten the strap on the older model, maybe because the fabric that it's attached to is softer and therefore more flexible so it flexes upward to help the straps meet each other... whatever the reason, it's really difficult for me to buckle him in now, and it really digs into his crotch (poor guy, can't imagine what it will be like when he's older). He's not even chunky or anything. Huge disapointment.

I hate the firmness of the seats. They don't help absorb some of the shock like the old one. Every time we hit a bump in the sidewalk in the new stroller, they hit their heads on the metal frame, and this NEVER happened in the older model. And the following statement probably shouldn't count but I'll say it anyways. We never used to put the seat belts on our kids in the other stroller (think amusement parks, in and out) and never had anyone fall out because the seat was so soft is sort of enveloped their bodies. However, during the first week we had it, my husband turned a corner to abruptly while walking at a slow pace (which wasn't even that hard) and my son was launched out of the stroller. He was sitting upright, but not leaning forward or anything. Thank GOD he was just fine. Our fault for not putting their seat belts on but we liked having the option of not being required to do so every time they get in the stroller.

Seats don't recline as far back. I do like how we don't have to mess with the clips anymore, but they don't recline as fully as the other one.

The triggers under the sides of the handle bar which allow you to close your stroller are plastic and are harder to "activate" making collapsing the stroller a bit of a pain. What I mean is that you have to completely squeeze them in order for you to fold it forward where as the older model you could just squeeze them a little and it would fold up.

BOB claims that there is more head room with the newer model due to their velcro strap system which allows you to pull the hood back and fasten it down, but I don't see a difference. In all actuality, there is less room for my daughter's head because the seat bottoms are hard instead of soft so her bottom doesn't sink into the stroller at all, making her sit up higher in the stroller. Less head clearance instead of more. You think they would have made the seat backs at least a few inches higher so that the older childrens' heads don't hit the top. My daughter is not even 4 yet and she's not tall for her age but her head touches the hood already. She's not even close to hitting the weight limit nor is she ready to give up her stroller rides.

There's a built in running strap that is NOT removable on the right side of the handle bar, exactly in the spot where you want to put your hand. I cannot tell you how irritating this is, nor how irritated my husband is because he's left-handed and the strap is too short to reach around his left wrist, meaning he cannot hold onto the stroller with his dominant hand while jogging if he wants to wear the strap.

The price is an extra $40 so after tax I paid close to $700. Seriously? So glad REI has a fantastic return policy.

Bottom line, newer is not always better. I'm so glad I didn't sell my old one, we are keeping that one and returning the new one to the store.

I am absolutely in love with this stroller. It's so easy to fold and unfold and it turns on a dime!! The bassinet is beautiful and my baby loves lying in it. It's easy to take out the bassinet to put in the car seat adapter for my chicco, which fits perfectly in the stroller. The color "Cole" a slate blue is fabulous and I actually got it for my daughter. I can't wait until she can start using the toddler seat. This stroller is sturdy and I feel that my baby is safe and secure in it. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a stroller. I see no reason to pay for a bugaboo when you can have this stroller and it looks and functions if not better than a bugaboo.

To clean stroller frame, use only household soap and warm water. Never use bleach. If wheel squeak, use a light oil.
This review is from: Graco Alano Flip It Travel System, Strata (Baby Product)
I bought the Flip It Travel System (From Babies R Us) when my son was two weeks old. I wish I could have gotten the turquoise color, but only a yellow/gray pattern was available (haven't seen it on Amazon)- but it's not annoying at least, so its fine. We've had the travel system now for about 6 months.

PROS: Carrier is birth-22lbs (which is what we wanted b/c I don't want to lug around a 30lb baby plus the weight of the carrier). The straps are easy to adjust and our carrier came with two head supports- the smaller one was removed when our son out-grew it, and it has adequate padding. The base is easy to install, can be done with latches and seat belt. The stroller also has two elastic bands with latches to secure the carrier in the stroller.
Stroller is sturdy and has lots of features (which does make it quite heavy, so beware)- easy to use adjustable handle, removable parent cup holder (only one though), big basket, double foot brakes, big canopy. It is easy to fold DOWN *(see addition at bottom), and it is easy to steer ***when the handle is in the normal position***.

CONS: The stroller can not be opened one-handed unless you're a magician- it takes two hands. This isn't a big deal to me because I just open it before doing anything else. The cup holder sticking out on the side gets in the way and sometimes gets hooked on things- but it is removable.
The biggest con is the steering when the handle is flipped! I was excited to use this feature when my son was big enough to sit in the stroller without the infant carrier. I've used it a couple of times now with the handle flipped and I was so disappointed- it is totally useless to push the stroller with the handle flipped. The back wheels are stationary, and when they become the front wheels- trying to turn the stroller is like skidding jammed grocery cart wheels accross carpet! It seems like common sense to me to put "all-wheel steering" on a stroller like this if the back wheels can become the front wheels.

Conclusion- I like the stroller and the carrier- but the Flip-It feature needs to have compatable engineering in the way of movable wheels for it to even be practical or useful.

Additional Info: After owning this stroller for another 6 months (1 year total) the opening/closing mechanism on the handle began to malfuncion. It sticks and makes it very difficult to open and close the stroller. I contacted Graco about the problem and they offered to send a new stroller if I would ship the broken one to them at my own expense. A good offer if it didn't cost $50+ to ship the darn thing! Alas, the flip-it stroller is being donated and will be replaced by a lighweight stroller.

Chicco Capri Lightweight Stroller

,bob revolution ce single stroller black, bob revolution se duallie stroller orange, baby jogger child tray, baby jogger f i t single jogging stroller, graco quattro tour sport travel system boone Size: one size | Color: Tangerine From the Manufacturer Ultra Lightweight! Designed in Italy, the C6 has a rugged, yet lightweight, annodized aluminum frame that weighs only 11 lbs but comes loaded with features you would only expect to find on a full-size stroller! The 2-position reclining seat provides comfort and security with a padded 5-point harness and front-wheel suspension. The adjustable, removable, canopy protects from the sun, wind and cold. The large basket provides storage for all the things your baby needs. The quick release umbrella fold, stroller carry bag and shoulder carry strap make travel and storage convenient.
This review is from: Chicco Ct0.6 Capri Lightweight Stroller, Red (Baby Product)
I bought this stroller a couple of weeks ago for a trip we were going on. It's a lot easier to carry around than the big ones that take the car seat. I love the 5-point harness, and it folds and unfolds pretty easily (the plastic clip is a bit unruly). The harness snap is stiff, and I've given myself a couple of blood blisters trying to close it. We borrowed a friend's older version a few months ago, and ours has some improved features:

-better canopy to cover baby
-better handles (I think they're more ergonomic)
-better undercarriage basket

CONS: I'm 5'6" and have a little trouble with the handle height. I'm not sure why someone can't make an umbrella stroller with extendable handles, but I haven't seen one for a decent price. I find that when I'm walking at a moderate/fast pace, my feet hit the wheels. I can get around this by holding on with one hand and walking beside the stroller, but it's a bit aggravating. Also, when you fold up the stroller, the wheels hit the top of the canopy and leave dirt marks. Minor, but slightly annoying when you live in a dusty area.

PROS: The 5-point harness works great for my 5-month old. The basket is big enough to carry a small diaper bag. There is no cup holder, but I hear you can purchase snap-on ones at BRU. Overall a pretty great product.

The First Years Jet Stroller

Product Description

,schwinn free runner jogging stroller, graco mosaic lightweight stroller mickey, maclaren volo stroller black, cosco juvenile umbrella stroller, joovy kooper umbrella stroller black Color: City Chic From the Manufacturer 4-in-1 the only stroller you will ever need!
This review is from: The First Years Jet Stroller, Navy/Grey (Baby Product)
I am posting this review because after receiving my jet I was disappointed that it was not more like my ignite even though the descriptions are the same and I got no decent response from the First years when I emailed!! I really wanted a boy blue stroller!

I have both.......we have the pink dot ignite and navy jet......unfortunately I owned the igngite first, so I was spoiled. But the jet is a nice stroller and better than a small umbrella stroller or the evenflo xsport we had.

The Ignite has much sturdier fabric overall and a more structured back to the seat, there is actually a metal x behind the fabric,(which makes it more flat back like your full size strollers) an inch wider seat base, almost 2 inch taller back of seat, relines 5 inches, and the locking front wheels for terrain.....it has one parent cup holder and a zippered pouch with 2 mesh pockets, but its shade does not rotate down, solid plastic grip handles, and 14 lb...I thought it was a great buy at $50 for the convenience of a big stroller in a small stroller. I HAVE NEVER KICKED THE BACK WHEELS!!! We LOVE IT!!!!

The jet's fabric feels much flimsier, the shade is smaller, but Does rotate down, seat is an inche smaller, it has 3 very visible vertical back of seat supports without the extra metal x support,(which makes a more rounded back like the umbrella strollers), only reclines a couple inches, the front wheels do NOT lock for terrain and don't have as much of a "tread" on them, the parent tray does have 4 spots for drinks with a smaller zippered pouch and 4 small mesh pockets, foam covered handles, the handles at a little different angle and are not as far away from the wheels as the ignite so you may end up kicking it I have occasionally at 5'4" and weighs 11 lbs.........

Both have the same under storage(little larger on the ignite), locking back wheels, 5 pt harness, and variable recline.......overall the ignite is just made better especially if you are looking for that 50lb!!!!

As long as you don't mind the shade not rotating down, I would go with the ignite! If you are looking for a stroller for a big kid....get the ignite not the jet.

Another great buy that makes these stroller even better is a fisher price or safe fit snack pod (depends on where you buy BRU, walmart, target)......it fits perfectly on the side for the kids to have easy access to a snack and drink for $10-12.

Back from vacation......we traveled with both strollers......I have to say both ran across gravel and grass very easy! I can say that the handles on the jet are a little closer together and i did kick it a few times....but I am used to pushing the ignite more often! The folding lock is much easier on the ignite.......I gave up and didn't even lock the jet when folded!

Happy Shopping!!

This review is from: Baby Trend Expedition LX Travel System, Millennium (Baby Product)
I got this stroller system while I was pregnant w/ my 1st child. I did not want a bulky, heavy travel system like the many Graco ones. I figured I would be able to get by w/ a carrier, snap&go and an all-terrain/jogger like stroller. Over a year later - I was so RIGHT w/ this system!

The Carrier/Carseat: The Flex-loc carrier is great!!! It is amply padded, light weight and the triangle handle is genius - lets you get a firm/steady grip on it from any angle. The sunshade is large and is not attached to the back like so many other carriers - this lets you "follow-the-sun" and keep baby's face shaded at all times, key when walking outdoors. Yes - the fabric of the seat is not as soft or "high-end" feeling as some other carriers but after a year of use I have found it to be very easy to clean & has kept its cushion perfectly. We used an extra soft/padded insert from 0-5 months (about $20 at BabiesRus) and my daughter was plenty comfy. My daughter is 14mo & I now have to change to a convertible carseat and am very sad to say good bye to this carrier.

The Jogger: My sister has a BOB revolution and I wouldn't trade if she paid me! The jogger does have some cons - I'll get to them 1st so I can get to the pro's.
Cons: Bulky when folded, heavy to lift into the car, double foot breaks are kind of cheap & a pain w/ flip-flops, fabric & padding are not as soft or cushiony as many other strollers (tip: etsy has tons of super cute stroller liners to add extra padding & comfort - I have one & it made all the difference - BeloBe makes specifically for this stroller).
Pros: comes w/ parent bar (2 cup holders & a decent size/secure compartment - fits cell, chap-stick, ear-buds, paci & sm bottle of hand-sani easily), contoured handle bar is comfortable for running - unlike the strait bars which prop your elbows up too high, sunshade is huge & fully moveable to "follow-the-sun" & keep baby shaded at all times, child tray w/ 2 cup holders and large inset tray area for toys & snacks, wide seat base, reclines to almost flat (definitely enough for child to sleep comfy or change a diaper), large rear wheels & swivel front tire make steering a breeze - easily one-handed over smooth terrain like beach paths, large & durable storage basket - may say 5lb limit but I've had a gallon of milk & 10lb bag of dog food in it w/ no problem. This is a stroller you can actually RUN behind. Lock the front wheel and go - I was able to run a 8.16min mile (which is almost as fast as I can go on my own & definitely faster than "jogging"). I do not suggest jogging w/ the carrier attached tho - while it does lock-in & will not just pop off, I found it made the whole system too unsteady/top-heavy for my taste, a brisk walk or light jog is fine tho. I use it to walk & jog at the beach, camping, on nature trails, around the park and thru my neighborhood & never wished I had sprung for a BOB or other high-end jogger.

Overall - Best Jogger travel system for the price range & functionally comparable to many higher-end joggers. It is not a "every-day" stroller tho - is too bulky & heavy to be pulling in&out of the car multiple times a day or trying to wheel thru the mall. But for your carseat & outdoor/heavyduty stroller it cannot be beat for the price. After 14 months of use I am even happier w/ it than on the 1st day I used it.

I bought this stroller for my twin boys who are now 6 months old. After reading many reviews i finally decided on this one. I'm glad i bought this one for the following reasons:
- I like how i can put both carseats and switch to the attachable seats when they are older
- I love how there is plenty of room to put their huge diaper bag and room for more
- I like that i can turn the seats facing me or each other or facing forward
- I like that its easy to push and steer
- I like that it was easy to put together all by myself (7 months pregnant at the time)
The only thing negative i would say is when i put both boys facing each other their legs would touch, so i'm guessing it wont be long when they start kicking each other, or there wont be any room to face each other. Other than that I love taking my boys out for a walk in their stroller any chance i get.

It feels like I'm not even pushing a stroller. It's effortless. I often push it along the winding sidewalks with one hand and hold my dog's leash with the other. When I go to my mom's and use the 4 wheel stroller that came with her infant seat, I definitely miss my Turismo. I can't walk as fast, can't maintain proper posture, my forearms get sore, and I practically have to slow down to a stop to handle the bumps at intersections. None of these things are an issue with the Turismo. I am 5'2", my husband is 6'4" and the handle bar adjusts to the perfect height for us both. I don't lower it as far as possible, so it would be good for someone shorter than me as well. The storage compartment below fits everything I've ever wanted. Last week I crammed my whole diaper bag in there for a particularly long outing. It has speakers for an mp3 player, but I've never hooked one up to it.

I've read some comments about the weight. It is around 30-35 lbs. I'm pretty petite (100 lbs). I certainly wouldn't want to carry it up a flight of stairs, but lifting it in and out of my hatchback is do-able. However, I only travel with it about once a week. On a daily basis I just roll it in and out the front door.

I can't compare it to other 3 wheel strollers, but I can say I can't imagine what could be improved upon. I've read others compare it to the Instep Grand Safari. I've read that the plastic spokes/wheels make it extremely difficult to pump up the tires. Every time I pump up my tires I am so glad I didn't get that one. And though I've never used the Grand Safari, I can't imagine I would like anything about it as much as this one.

As for the swivel wheel, I love it. If you're a serious runner, I can't advise you, but if you just like to walk fast(or slow), the swivel is great, otherwise you have to raise the front end of the stroller to turn. I would hate that. I've even stepped it up to a light jog on occasion, and never found myself wishing the front wheel was affixed. However, there is a locking device that can affix the front wheel; I have never used it, so can't comment on it.

I would like to get some sort of padding that goes around her, so when she falls asleep she can rest her head on a pillow, as she does tip to one side a bit when she falls asleep. The seat does recline; she just seems to prefer being upright.

This is my favorite baby purchase. Since I've had this stroller my walks have gone from 40 minutes to 60-90 minutes. Fortunately this is my 7-month-old baby's favorite thing to do; she loves to be outside. I use California Baby sunblock on her, which is the most natural and effective one I've found. I also put a Protect-A-Bub on the stroller, which is a giant canopy that works great at keeping the sun out (we live in Florida).

And I love the red. It's a nice energizing color to get you in the mood for going out and about.

I spent a lot of time researching double stroller options for my 16 month old and newborn. What drew me to this one was the size - it's not too bulky for a double, and it is quite lightweight for a double. I love the versatility of the seat position options, and I like the large underbasket storage space.

One thing I would like to note - there is very little info on the web regarding the lower infant carseat adapter, I got the full scoop from a local baby shop that had been trained by a Britax rep. The upper infant carseat adapter (the one that is $50) clearly explains the various carseats that it can accomodate, whereas the lower infant carseat adapater (the one that is $80) did not explain anything about adaptability. Basically what I found out is that the lower adapter is only made to fit the Britax Chapperone carseat. However, to make the lower seat adaptable to other carseat brands, you need to buy BOTH carseat adapters. The upper "universal" carseat adapter will snap onto the lower carseat adapter, and then accomodate a non-Britax infant seat (we have the Chicco Keyfit 30 infant seat). So if you are looking to use this stroller as a double with an infant seat that is not Britax brand in the lower position, be prepared to spend $130 on both adapters to make it work for another carseat.

The price is pretty high for this stroller, but totally worth it. It pushes well, can easily be pushed with one hand, and it's really nice quality. Keep in mind too, when buying a higher end stroller like this you can often turn around and sell it used for a good amount in a few years when you are done using it.
